Do you run? you dont like to run with your iPhone? Forty is for you.

I’m myself a runner (@josealobato) and an iPhone developer but I do not like going running with my iPhone because it is heavy, big and expensive. Anyhow I like to have my information in my device and taking more from my running data, so I decided to create Forty. When I go running (3 or 4 times a week) I run with my sports watch (Coolkids call it running computer) that give me basic information like distance, time and heart rate but almost no statistics. Adding this basic information to Forty I can get the summary I need and graphical information to better analyze my improvements.

The name “Forty” comes from my weekly target during last summer: 40km, and the goal is getting the best statistics from the minimum data from your runs.

The Forty concept is simple and based on the following principles:

* Set a distance target and keep track of your achievements.
* Review your performance on a per week basis.
* Get a weekly summary of most interesting data.
* See all relevant data of a week in a single screen (to reduce navigation).
* Simple and fast data entrance.
* Obtain beautiful and useful graphics from the data.
* I do not need to go running with my iPhone.
